Patient Center

We want our patients to feel prepared and comfortable with every step of their surgical procedure.

Patient Experience

Our pre-surgical team will walk patients through every step of their procedure, from planning to post-operative recovery. Patients will feel comfortable and prepared when they arrive for their procedure after understanding important factors like cost and their patient rights.

Our nursing team is always in touch with the patient, making sure that the process of care runs smoothly and efficiently. No waiting is the goal. Your care team makes sure you get what you need, when you need it.

Commitment to Cost Transparency

Saltzer Health made a comprehensive commitment to cost transparency and our Outpatient Surgery Center’s mission is no different. As in every aspect of medical care, there can be great variances in costs for outpatient surgery procedures. Our team is working to ensure referring physicians and patients can easily access an accurate total cost for their procedure at the Saltzer Surgery Center.

Our outpatient services are coordinated to increase quality and efficiency. Patient preparation, surgery, and recovery all take place in the same area. Digital diagnostic radiological studies are available to doctors and nurses during surgical procedures. These processes all save time and expense.

Patient Billing

Our patient billing team will work with your insurance provider to process your surgical claims. You may receive separate medical claims and bills from the physicians involved in your surgical procedure. Saltzer Surgery Center will collect any required upfront payment on the day of your procedure.

Patient Advocacy

Our pre-surgical team will communicate with patients regarding important medical decisions and the appropriate tools that guide families and medical providers about medical care in the event a patient cannot speak for themselves. Our team will follow the Patient Self-Determination Act of 1990 to educate patients about creating an Advanced Directive, Living Will and/or Durable Power of Attorney even if they are competent adults. Patients and families will be comforted knowing that our care teams have documented their treatment preferences.
